The Redcliffe Cultural Centre is an exciting performing and creative arts space that caters for the cultural needs of local and regional audiences. Located in the heart of Redcliffe’s Cultural Precinct, this venue plays host to the civic functions of the City, it also houses a wide cross section of community organisations and arts activity. The Centre’s main feature is the Matthew Flinders Theatre, a 399 seat professionally equipped auditorium, which provides local and regional audiences with a diverse program of live performances. The theatre combines modern technology with its unique character to create a perfect setting for movies, graduations, corporate evenings, eisteddfods, conferences, musicals and dramatic performances.
Sharon Alback Dance Academy, Redcliffe State High School’s Performing Arts in Excellence Program, Peninsula Poets, Multitude Choir, Kismet Belly Dancers, African Drumming, Yarn Spinners, Memoirs Writing Group, Peninsula Jazz Group, Slimdowners and a number of churches are amongst some of the groups that take advantage of the 5 meeting rooms within the venue. These facilities are all multi-use in nature, making them suitable for any occasion and most activities. Located in the Redcliffe Cultural Centre’s foyers is the Stage Door Gallery. This space showcases the talents of Redcliffe’s local and regional artists as well as specific exhibitions. Hours of operation for this space include 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
